Through the Ever Night
It's been months since
Aria last saw Perry. Months since Perry was named Blood Lord of the
Tides, and Aria was charged with an impossible mission. Now, finally,
they are about to be reunited. But their reunion is far from perfect.
The Tides don't take kindly to Aria, a former Dweller. And with the
worsening Aether storms threatening the tribe's precarious existence,
Aria begins to fear that leaving Perry behind might be the only way to
save them both. Threatened by false friends, hidden enemies, and
powerful temptations, Aria and Perry wonder,Can their love survive through the ever night?
In this second book in her spellbinding Under the Never Sky trilogy,
Veronica Rossi combines fantasy and dystopian elements to create a
captivating love story as perilous as it is unforgettable.

Several like-minded book lovers LOVED the first book. I didn't. I liked it, thought it was some fascinating world building, but wasn't sold on the love interests. This book was kind of the same. The world building continued to be fascinating, but I still didn't love the love story. There was too much jealousy/misunderstanding, not enough connecting/understanding/friendship. WHY do they like each other again? It was easy to forget, which isn't the best thing when I'm reading about a love story. But I adore/am intrigued with several side characters, so I'll continue this series for at least another book. Still don't love the name Perry. (Perry! Perry the Platypus! Agent P!)

Mom note: As
a mother of readers, I also
want to make a note to myself (and others if they care)
why I would or
would not have my children read this book, because honestly, sometimes I
forget. This is a YA book, so everything is within YA strictures.
Violence: moderate; Profanity: no; Sex: no
